Andrea (“Addie”) Butler is known for being a relentless advocate for her clients, both in court and out. In addition to other areas of her practice, Ms. Butler has represented thousands of clients in a wide range of insurance-related disputes. She has achieved successful results for clients in state and federal courts from Texas to New York, Florida, Illinois and New Jersey. Ms. Butler has represented residential and commercial insurance clients in every phase of an insurance claim, and in every phase of litigation, including appeal. Her litigation practice also includes consumer law, contract issues, complex insurance and general civil litigation. Most recently she has lead a team representing hundreds of home and property owners in coordinated litigation in the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Out of court, Ms. Butler provides consulting services on a range of legal topics, with a special focus on unique and complex insurance issues.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Ms. Butler was admitted to the Liberal Arts Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in government. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where she also participated in the nationally recognized moot court program. Ms. Butler served as an editor of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal, and served on the Law Center Honor Board.
Ms. Butler is a member of the Houston Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in Texas and various federal courts across the country.
