Weather Any Storm Scholarship
The Disaster Insurance Claims team at Long & Long believes we face our challenges together as a family. In order to see our family and community grow and prosper, we must come together and work towards a common goal. And the achievement of our goals for the future lies in the hands of the next generation.
We are committed to the betterment of our society and supporting the next generation as they work to enact change where needed. That is why we are pleased to launch the Weather Any Storm Scholarship that will grant one student $500 to use on tuition, books, or other education-related expenses.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Students who have been accepted or currently attend a 2 or 4-year college in Alabama.
GPA of at least 3.0.
Employees of Long & Long and their relatives are not eligible to participate.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must submit their application and essay via this form.
ESSAY TOPIC
On the Disaster Insurance Claims Management team, we’ve helped thousands of clients facing immeasurable adversity after suffering life-changing damage to their homes and businesses from natural disasters, fires and more.
From this we learned that life isn’t about the challenges you face – it’s about how you rise above them.
In a 500-750 word essay, tell us about a challenge you faced, how you overcame that challenge, and what you learned from it.
IMPORTANT DATES
October 23rd, 2020 – We will begin accepting applications for the Weather Any Storm Scholarship.
April 30th, 2021 – Application deadline. Submissions after this date will not be accepted.
May 17th-21st, 2021 – The chosen winner will be notified via email.
May 24th – June 11th, 2021 – The check will be distributed directly to the winner. We will coordinate a time with you to pick up your award!
**The winning applicants will be announced on Disaster Insurance Claims’ social media. By submitting an application, you agree to allow us to use your submission for marketing purposes.
